Mine were clicking from day one and the boot got torn apart with only like 200 miles on them....I moved a lot in the past year and never got a chance to send them in. Now they say they won't do anything because I don't have the original invoice. I guess I am stuck...

I sold my car and now I just got it back (long story). So I never sent the axles in. The guy I sold it to never sent them in either.
So now that my situation has changed I may or may not send them back in, but DSS did send me a free shipping slip. I'll give them that. If I do send them back in I'll update as promised and if I don't I'll still update everyone as to what I did. |

I'd say send them in if you can....
As an update for me, I don't think I am going to have to send these back in again come this May. I still don't have any clicking issues I feel everybody's pain that has clicking axles, it was NOT a joy to drive a car with them.On a side note: I think DSS should fix axles that have this clicking issue, depending on each individual case, of course. And even if it is past the waranty period and within reason; as this is well known issue and clearly a manufacturing defect. I don't know your history with the axles and how long you have had them, so you just have to call DSS and ask what you want them to do. They seem reasonable!

I'm going to call them up monday. I think it will work out.
I bought the Hasport driver side axle and it worked out fine. I bought the level ones just so I could drive the car. My leak issue is no longer a problem. So I'm good there. But I will need the 2.9's when I bump the power up. But I think this thread will soon die and everything will be back one track (I hope). I'll let you know how everything goes. |

Bump! I am currently in the market for axles as well and is wondering if the issues have been resolved. I hope it is since this thread was made quite some time ago and no updates were given.

I would invest in different axles in my opinion due to my personal experiences with them. Obviously only one point of view....I just will never buy their products again!

I ran em last year making almost 600 whp tracked several times they'll be going back in this year and I'll be thorwin more at em .I like em I've heard a click or a clack on rare occasion but it beats the hell outta hearing my engine rev and my car not move due to broken oem or aftermarket axles .These axles are imho "underated" and will hold 600 whp with out a problem . I have run oem axles , auto zone ect..... the dss 2.9 are the first set of axles to last me a whole season and I'll be sticking with em

Is your car a track only car or is it used as a daily driver? From the response from other on this thread. This issue mostly happens to those who DD their cars.
My case, is its going to be used as a DD. |

I never updated because I never did anything with them.
Im back in the bay area now. if you want to check them out before you buy, i still have them. I stay in V-town now. Were going with OEM combos or I think EP3 axles will work (I got a z3 tranny now). I was tryin to DD with them. But my problem was that it never fitted from the start, then it would click. Plastic internals from what i understand. Not sure about the newer ones, but I still got them bro. |

Are they out of the car now? And do they still click if you were to just move the joints by hand?
Vtown? Where's that? LOL. You will most likely see me rolling around the east side of san jose and north. |

I also have issues with them as well. Bought brand new. Right away, they started leaking and clicking. Sent them in and same damn issues when I got them back from DSS. I just gave up and they've been sitting for the last 2 years. Maybe 300 daily driver miles max on them. Never again will I buy DSS.
