I'm doing a k24/k20 build with 6SP tranny. The motor is going into a del Sol. I heard the RSX base axles are 32mm and can be used for swap axles, they will slide right in. I was told by someone else that they can't be used. I figured you would have to swap the inners for b-series. Anyone know for sure? I don't want to buy the wrong ones. I would buy swap axles but dont have the funds right now. Thanks for any help.

From what I know you can only use the 36mm RSX axles if you have the JDM ITR 5lug.

RSX Base axles work on an EG type chassis as they are 32mm but you must swap the inners on them, Meaning the left inner of the RSX Base axle goes to the right side shaft, and vice versa. They work, Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. EP3 axles do NOT work.

Does anyone know if EP3 Type-R axles are the same as RSX-S? They are both 36mm but I don't know about the length. They do have different part numbers for shaft assys but same for individually available parts... |

So the base rsx axles will work if you swap the inners. But you cant use the type-s axles and swap the inners on those?

If you use RSX-S Axles you need to use B-Series outers to convert them to 32mm. RSX-S Axles are 36mm, RSX Base are 32mm. This is why RSX Base Axles can be used by only swapping the inners.

Cheaper way out, and the way I would do it is with RSX Base Axles. You can pick up a set for under $200 brand new in some places. www.Rockauto.com has them for around $150 Shipped, but there's a 5 day shipping wait as they're a non-stocked product. They're made by GSP, a company that makes OEM quality replacements. I checked their online product database and GSP Part #NCV21538 and #NCV21547 are their Left/Right Remanufactured axles.

I'd venture to say they can hold 180-200hp. But nobody really knows as there's been no testing on them. All you can really do is hope they hold, and if they dont they're cheap enough for me to have another set handy incase they do break.
