Here's a nice upper radiator hose that will yield good clearances with an intake on most K-swapped vehicles. You can run your intake piping straight out of the TB and not have to worry about the hot hose resting on the piping. It will work basically as is (w/ minimal cutting on the ends) for a K20. On a K24, you can use the front (radiator outlet) portion and then if hooking up a thermoswitch/temp sensor adapter, use a hose on the back end that makes a 45 deg instead of the 90 deg shown, since the coolant nipple sits differently between the two engines. Enjoy...
Hose is Autozone P/N: M248

So what does it look like if you don't cut it? Can it still be used? I ask because I have the fan switch in the rad and temp sender n the head. thanks.

Btw, this is your car in the pic? How did you get that fuel press. gauge tightened all the way down on the regulator, mine can only go half way and its the same brand.
Also, what radiator is that?I know this is not part of the thread, but since he posted on here....hope you don't mind.

Anyway, here are some other pics. These are with an RBC IM, but the PRB/C IM's will still work the same way. The hose will be a little closer to the piping on a PRB/C, but it is better than an RSX upper hose and letting it sit on top of the intake piping. After looking things over, it would definitely help to separate the two and use an adapter of some sort so you can rotate things for added clearance.

Nice...That's EXACTLY how we did mine. The only differece is that my intake runs under the hose.

To mount a fan you guys just drill a hole through the fins of the rad??
Also is it better to mount that block on upper or lower rad hose? I mounted it on the lower, because it was easier to find a upper rad hose that was 1 piece, and then combine for a lower. As for the engine which is better? I guess having it on the upper would run the engine cooler, |

Just a question, Brian @ Karcepts ( master of super
skillz! ), most of the K20A swaps I see in the forum utilise this middle connector ( that seems to be made of steel, and have ancillaries / connectors for, fan switch? ) would it blow between 'em, if the coolant's is flowing under high pressure? I'm so dumb, since I do not know whether K20A's have the fan / thermo switch and thermostat on the block ( like B series do ). Thermostat, yes, should be, but I find it strange to see the fan / thermo switch sandwiched between the hoses. Do correct me if I'm wrong! |

I don't know, I guess I'd have to see your car to see why. I had no problems. Quote:
