Thanks AWOC, maybe I'll just leave the k20a thermo switch in there and wire it up. Probably unneeded, but can't hurt.

I lied to you all, I didn't do all the bushings. Today I completed the rear knuckles with all 3 new bushings on each side and did the front trailing arm bushings. Those RTA bushings are a real turd to get out....Ugh!

Still scratching my brain a bit on the lower radiator hose. Would love to find a preformed hose that someone made for the K24 swap.

I'm stuck on such a simple problem.... Many have suggested swapping the thermostat housing. I grabbed the housing from the old motor and unfortunately the bolt pattern is a bit different. I can't use the Ktuned swivel housing either because of this.

Something a local machine can do for you? If you send me the parts I can CAD them up and send it to my machine shops. It's not going to be a $20 fix, but it's option.

Too late I found one!

I'm currently mating a ep3 Tanabe medallion touring exhaust to a RV6p down pipe. The stock cat and downpipe from the 2012 SI fit in the ep3 and lined up right in the exhaust tunnel. Sweet!

Oh right, on that victorious note, I forgot to mention; The lower radiator hose is blowing my mind. I tried to swap the thermostat housing from the 2003 to the 2012 but the mount pattern is different.

The ktuned swivel thermostat has the same issue of course with the bolt patter.

I have a handful of different hoses to hack together, but that just seems so sleazy.

Any ideas?

I was looking at viper flex hoses, but I don't know if they can be but to length.

So many dang part numbers. I don't want to use a flex hose and I don't want some cheesmo way out of this.

Mike from ktuned said the swivel neck housing wouldn't work on the K24z7, but possibly he just doesn't know that it will. I didn't think it would either because the k20a3 wouldn't fit in any direction, the bolt pattern was just a bit different.

However, I found that others have suggested if your using the k24a2 (2004-08 TSX) motor to simply replace the thermostat housing from that of the k20a2. When I look at the part numbers for the k24a2 thermostat, its the same as the k24z7. But when I look at the k20a2 part numbers, it lists the ep3, which I know won't work..... WTF?!

I'm going to lose my mind, I need to write this down some where.

2004-08 TSX (k24a2) Thermostat housing = 19301-RAF-004 (https://www.acurapartsnow.com/auto-p...ater-pump-scat)

2012si (k24z7) Thermostat housing = 19301-RAF-004 (https://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com...UMP+%282.4L%29)

What thermostat housing would someone use on an EP3 if they were swapping in a k24a2? People say use the k20 thermostat housing. I have the one from the stock k20a3 but it doesn't fit. 19301-PNA-003

The k20z motor uses 19301-RAF-004, but looks to point down.
The k20a2 motor uses 19301-PNA-003.

They thermostat I have must work, I must be completely braindead....this is so frustrating!

I think I'm having a come to Jesus......

I've been looking at the part number for the thermostat itself, not the thermostat housing.

NOPE STILL LOST AS all get out!

K-tuned swivel neck housing fits as the k24z7 thermostat housing is identical to the k24a2.
