...it could be cheaper because the price of the chinese manufacturer is very low, I think ;)

The OEM pan and our K-Tuned pan are extremely similar. They are both steel and both will only dent if they are hit hard enough. Obviously we all want to avoid having our oil pan hit anything, but sometimes things happen. The comparison being made in the product description is between an aluminum pan and a steel one. If contact does occur would you prefer a dented steel pan? Or an aluminum pan that completely shatters and looks like the one below?

Sorry these do not fit with the balance shaft oil pumps. A deeper pan is needed.

These are priced very well when you consider that you are getting a complete kit with hardware and the magnetic drain bolt.

The answer is "What is a dented steel pan" Alex Trebek...

Is ground clearance better than OEM? Thinking of getting a steel pan with baffles to replace my Moroso which sits slightly lower than OEM.

Ground clearance compared to the oem steel pan is identical.
Both the oem steel pan and ours will give you 1/2" to 3/8" more clearance when compared to the oem aluminum oil pan.

Ordering mine tonight. My car is at the body shop for engine bay paint. Gonna get a steel pan so we can swap it out real quick while the engine is on the hoist!

If you had a blank-sheet design, how close to the road would you let the oil pan be? I did do a blank-sheet design (www.midlana.com) and can't imagine running any less than 4" under the pan. The analogy I use in my book is that running a heavily-lowered car on the street is like swimming naked over sharp rocks in shallow water... you can do it, but you're pushing your luck and risk "snaggage."

Car is looking good Chase.

The mount kits for K20 DA's and EF's all seem to push the engine quite low in the engine bay. This is done to clear and close the hood.
This is something all EF and DA chassis' have to deal with.
Dropping too low does mean there is a higher risk of contact.

It doesn't help that the K engine is tall, that also affects available ground clearance.
