Well I've gotten started on my swap. Don't have any parts yet just pulling my B18B. After pulling the motor today I think I got in way over my head lol....

Done alot of research on the swap but there aren't too many DC K swaps to refer to for info. Had a bitch of a time getting the hollow shift linkage pin out so we took a drimmel to it and cut it out.

I have lots of time and patience (so i like to think). I would say it took a few hours a day for a week or so to get everything out. I've never done anything more than hardwire a deck or install a lower tie bar before so I'm alittle overwhelmed.

Also do I reuse the b18 shift linkage? (thinking not...)

I would like to do a wiretuck/battery relocation but I have no clue where to start. Any tips?

Also I might go pickup my transmission from Joe tomorrow as well. Here is what all should be new on it.

  • New 2nd Gear Set
  • New 2005 TSX 6th Gear & Syncro (thanks Joe)
  • Quaife LSD
  • 4.7 Final Drive

BTW if anyone gets a TSX 6th gear make sure to get the older model. Joe had to track down a new 6th gear syncro to make it all work.

BTW I've been wondering how much torque to put on the Upper Control Arm (skunk2's) bushings. You would think leave it loose so that it easily travels back and forth but stock was kinda tight but I couldn't find any tq numbers in helms. Suggestions?

Was on T-I.net earlier today and saw a thread asking torque values for UCA bushings....they said that the helms says 47 ft-lbs, but I can't confirm w/o going home. Will try to confirm when I go home for lunch.

Sorry no suggestions for torque values while I'm here at work, but it's good to see you're still working on this teg - or I guess a better way to say it, good to see you have not given up on it! I'm tired of messing with mine, but it will get done too.

Btw - those coilovers look funny with that damper fork :p

First 2 pics are of passenger side headlight vs drivers side. GF went over the passenger side with 1000 Grit wet sanded by hand, then 2000 Grit wet, lastly Meguiars Scratch X Plastic Polish.





The next 3 pics are of the drivers side headlight after nothing but going over it with a t-shirt and Scratch X.






The rest of the pics are after the same process w/ wet sanding like we did on the passenger side. The lenses are so incredibly smooth and made a huge difference. The insides of the lenses probably need to be rinsed out but I may just keep them as is.

Received JRSC & Installed 11.1" ITR Front Kit or atleast what I had of it no thanks to scammer BrakeExpert/Mike Parise. Had to get what I needed locally from FastBrakes since the ONLY thing usable of what little I received from the scammer was the calipers. BrakeExpert, take note of how this rotor is properly drilled, no slop, dead center. The one I received is being redrilled right now, correctly.

Updates! Lucky for me I found someone locally who was willing to replicate their own OEM Auto Tensioner Relocation bracket for me. So I snapped some pics of it and tested it with the way too long belt that came with my JRSC kit, check out that belt wrap!




























Got the wheels on and loaded the suspension!

Nice bracket! :cool: Did you have any install problems? Have you tried the belt yet?
I like the rims, but I don't know if I like the silver lip. I guess I've never been the biggest fan of the two tone rim.
These would look cool.
