View Full Version : KPro on JDM EuroR CL7

Finally, some inroads to programmable ECUs for the Accords / CL7 / EuroR has been achieved.

All along, we were unable to fully harness the power from the K20A in the JDM EuroR as we were unable to control the fuel injection system in that car; as their cluster and some other ancillaries of the fuel injection system were controlled by the stock ECU. Previously, when we tried to hook up a KPro to the car, it would drive the engine, but the cluster, air-conditioning, reverse lock out, etc would not work. The car does however gain an immediate increase in power (from the tuned KPro).

But now, we are able to make the KPro work with the EuroR with every original feature from the stock car working. An additional wire harness has to be added to the car and 2 ECUs ran in conjunction with each other. The stock ECU to control all the niceties.... and another additional DC5 ECU (with KPro or K100) for programmability of the fuel injection system.

I am unsure if it will work with the CRV, element, TSX, or any other hondas, as i do not have these cars in my market. But would be willing to help in anyway i can if there are any questions.

Now, finally, my customer who has got a built motor in his EuroR would be tune the ECU to suit his engine and unleash the power!!

That is great! very nice work!

I wonder if the same can be done for the US Accord, element, CRV since they also run K24a with throttle controlled by cable... not wire like the TSX, 2006 Civic Si

Wow! That is really interesting.. How long were you guys working on this to arrive at this conclusion? Im sure it was very complicated. Good work though!! :up:

if you can get me a wiring diagram for the CRV, i might be able to do something.

i believe Doug managed to get a KPro working on his TSX (throttle by wire) working as well... but unsure to what extend of control we could achieve.

so the CL7 is Throttle by wire, or no?

The CL7 TB is like the rsx type s TB.... A wire pulls the butterfly open... I explain it like this because often people get confused between the cable vs wire terms because essentially it is a cable with wire :)

just an update on this product.

in the latest model, the CEL has been solved and it is a total plug and play solution..

there are 2 operating CELs, 1 from CL7 original ECU and the other from the KPro. you will however have to find a spot to mount the LED that comes out from the KPro, but shouldn't be too hard.. its something like a shift light.

full tunability is possible with the KPro on the CL7 and upgrades like big cams, ITBs are possible as with all the rest of the K20A modifications we have been doing all along.
